Evernote sees it and imports the PDF and deletes the source. Now I just print to PDF and save directly to this folder. The three photos below I’m using the photo setting in Evernote. In the photos below you’ll notice differences.
You can then have Evernote delete or keep the source.īasically, I created an EverNote Import folder and configured it in Evernote’s Folder Import feature to delete. When using Evernote to capture your receipts it’s important to not only use the proper setting in the software but to properly prepare what you’re capturing. You can set it up to scan folders and when it sees a new or updated file in the folder (and optionally subfolders), it will auto import it into a notebook with appropriate tags. Import folders is a pretty nifty feature of the Windows based Evernote client. Hitting print and having an ‘Evernote Printer’ would be the best solution but until that’s available, here is what I came up with. Printing to PDF and direct importing to Evernote seemed like something I could use. Open any note, press and hold a note, then slide your finger over the share button (box with an arrow pointing upwards). Quickly access Evernote Helper using Ctrl + Cmd + N (Mac) or Ctrl + Alt + H (Windows) on your keyboard. PEN format if you are exporting as PEN files. When you're done writing, click Convert to note to save it as a note. There are a ton of ways to use it and I am always looking for more ways. Open Evernote Helper to write a quick note without opening the full Evernote app.
